PISTONHEADS FORUMS

PistonHeads is an automotive website known for its car reviews, news and buying guides. Its forums are a key part of the website, offering a community for like-minded people to share experiences, advice, and opinions on all manner of subjects. Having been an active member of these for many years I decided to sponsor the finance section to provide free of charge answers to any generic investment related questions.

It must be remembered that at the time such a thing was ground breaking and others in the financial industry considered I was mad to open myself (and my company) up to such public accessibility and scrutiny. The general consensus was that the whole thing would badly backfire.

I was adamant, however, that such an open, clear, transparent and educative approach would be highly valued and five years later, with thousands of questions answered, I had proved my point. Following the sale of Intelligent Money these forums were closed and I launched QandA Money in their place.
